I am one if the 10 original members of the guild. The guild and the ceramic world have been an enriching constant in my life.
I have been, primarily, a functional potter with the goal of making ware for everyday use.
I have long had a sideline making clay frogs with personalities to bring a smile to those who see them.
In the 1990’s I also made masks and forms using masks as a part of the design. These were well received and were an entrée to the world of sculpture.
Three years ago I shifted my focus to the art of fused glass. This has renewed my passion for creation, and I am continuing to explore the many aspects of this craft.
Through it all my creative process has been one of working quickly and intuitively and letting the process and the materials shine through the work.
