Centering is the process necessary for throwing pieces on the wheel. It begins from the time the wheel starts spinning and continues until it stops. If you are a beginner or have taken several classes but still don't feel confident in your facility to center the clay on the wheel, please consider joining this class. Through demos, modeling, and individual instruction, the teachers will emphasize centering as the foundation for being creative with clay. This class will focus on the entire process of making pieces on the wheel through the glazing and firing process. We will also explore some hand building techniques and a range of surface.

PLEASE NOTE: Effective October 2021, all members must be VACCINATED to enter the Guild. Students are encouraged to be vaccinated.

Due to Boulder County's change to a high risk of COVID, as of June 8, 2022, MASKS ARE REQUIRED for all individuals entering the Guild facility during classes and practice sessions regardless of vaccination status.
