 \nLevel: Beginner and Intermediate \nPrerequisite: No previous experience 
 is required.\n\nThis 3-hour evening class includes a basic introduction an
 d a continuation of building your wheel throwing skills. The course covers
  clay studio basics and is intended as an introduction to the clay cycle p
 rocess of 'clay to fire.' Students learn the skill of centering and evenly
  distributing clay to make cups\, bowls and plates\, as well as the applic
 ation of handles. The course also includes instruction in glazing techniqu
 es. No previous experience is required. This class is a good option for th
 ose with previous experience to refresh their basic skills. Basic concepts
  such as how to use studio equipment\, clay preparation\, simple wheel-thr
 owing techniques\, and glazing and decoration processes will be demonstrat
 ed. Simple hand-building techniques are also introduced to give participan
 ts other options for creating pottery items.\n\nEffective October 2021\, a
 ll members must be VACCINATED to enter the Guild. Students are strongly en
 couraged to be vaccinated. \nIn alignment with Boulder County guidelines\,
  MASKS and SOCIAL DISTANCING ARE REQUIRED for all individuals entering the
  Guild facility regardless of vaccination status. \n\nBefore you register

 first Saturday after classes begin\, current students have access to the G
 uild for practice time. These times are supervised by a Guild member. \n\n
 - Mondays 6:30-9:30 pm \n- Tuesdays 1:00-4:00 pm \n- Saturdays 10:00 am - 
 1:00 pm \n\nPlease note: Only clay purchased during your class can be used
 .  Absolutely no production work of any kind can be made in class or pract
 ice sessions.
