 revious experience required\n\nThis evening class includes a basic introdu
 ction and a continuation of building your wheel throwing and hand-building
  skills. The course covers clay studio basics and is intended as an introd
 uction to the clay cycle process of 'clay to fire.' Students learn the ski
 ll of centering and evenly distributing clay to make cups\, bowls and plat
 es\, as well as the application of handles.  Simple hand-building techniqu
 es are also introduced to give participants other options for creating pot
 tery items.  The course also includes instruction in glazing techniques. N
 o previous experience is required. This class is a good option for those w
 ith some previous experience to refresh their basic skills. Basic concepts
  such as how to use studio equipment\, clay preparation\, simple wheel-thr
 owing and hand-building techniques\, and decoration and glazing processes 
 will be demonstrated.\n\nPLEASE NOTE: Effective October 2021\, all members
  must be VACCINATED to enter the Guild. Students are encouraged to be vacc
 inated.\n\nDue to Boulder County's change to a high risk of COVID\, as of 
 June 8\, 2022\, MASKS ARE REQUIRED for all individuals entering the Guild 
 facility during classes and practice sessions regardless of vaccination st
 atus.
