 ependently in all phases of clay production. \n\nThis class is limited to 
 10 students.\n\nHave you been taking pottery classes for years and are yea
 rning to take the next steps to independence? Taught by two long term\, pr
 ofessional potters\, this intensive class will give you hands-on skills in
  selecting and mixing glazes\, testing glazes\, and loading and firing ele
 ctric kilns. We will take a field trip and tour local clay studios to show
  you options in how to set up your own studio. We will explore ways to joi
 n artist communities and to start to sell your work. Weeks 1 and 2 during 
 class will allow you time to work in clay\, but in order to produce work f
 or our firings\, you will need to attend Practice Sessions. Plan to attend
  every week of class to get the full benefit of this intensive learning cl
 ass. This will be a cooperative learning environment. Students in this cla
 ss are expected to be independent in creation of work\, as class time will
  not include instruction in hand building or in throwing. Cone 6 electric
