I have been a potter for 25 years. I started by taking classes at the City Pottery Lab. Then I moved to North Boulder and took a class at the Boulder Potter’s Guild when they were located on North Broadway. I then applied for an apprentice position and became the bisquer. That position acquainted me with the Guild, and I became a member.
Working with clay is a passion for me. My focus is throwing and firing to cone 10 in a gas kiln. I love the process of Raku firing as well. I have been teaching classes at the Guild for about 16 years. It is always exciting to share my passion with students. I like throwing bowls, honey pots, and tall vases. I do hand building clay projects with a Montessori preschool in the summertime for 10 weeks. I love introducing clay to little children.
