My copper glazed, porcelain pottery is thrown on the wheel and fired to 2350 degrees in an atmospheric kiln with soda. I love the color variations and micro crystals that firing with soda adds to the matte glaze, enhancing and defining the alterations of the form.
I strive to make pottery that is both beautiful in form, and functions well for the purpose it is intended: mugs with handles that are comfortable to hold, pitchers with spouts that pour well, etc.
