I have always been drawn to art, but when I took a pottery class in high school, there was no turning back. I found that I love working with my hands and am passionate about working with clay. I went on to receive a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Colorado, Boulder.

I love being outdoors either gardening or hiking. I am inspired by nature, always learning; seeing colors, color combinations and patterns. I have a passion for functional pottery, and as a long-time gardener I feel connected to the growing of food through to the presentation of food in a vessel. I worked on an organic farm for over a decade and loved being in the kitchens of the restaurants we worked with. I feel a connection to the beauty of a plate set with nourishing, beautiful food.

Lately, I have been exploring a new direction in clay. I have ventured into architectural ceramics. I have been making vessel sinks and light pendants. I care very deeply about the places we live having beauty and life. A handmade object in the home either on the table or hanging above can add so much life.

My work ranges from larger art instillation pieces to architectural ceramics to functional pottery. My work is on tables around the county in both the restaurant and the family home. I have taught classes in the Boulder area as well as workshops in North Carolina.
