My love of working with clay started with classes in high school. I said, "I'll come back to this one day!" After several decades and a career as an elementary school teacher, that day finally arrived in 2015. After many classes, inspiration from nature, support from family and friends, and quiet times to practice during the pandemic, I emerged as a ceramic artist!
I have an eclectic style and experiment with a wide variety of forms and functions as I feel led. I enjoy sculpture, throwing and handbuilding items for practical and decorative uses. Lifelong learner is a phrase I have always lived by and am applying in new ways through ceramics. Just so much to learn, explore and take in!
