Born in Ithaca, NY, Peter has lived in Boston, MA, Austin, TX, Santa Cruz and Norfolk, VA before moving to Boulder in 1998. His work is inspired by natural forms and textures, things that are hidden to the casual observer (e.g. macrophotography,) and processes of growth and decay. He creates hand-built forms and thrown (often altered) forms, and enjoys combining the two approaches. Peter began taking classes at the Guild in 2015 and later joined the Guild as a member in 2022. Outside of working with clay, Peter enjoying hiking and skiing in Colorado.
