I have been a potter for 30 years since discovering pottery in Olympia, Washington, when searching for an activity for after retiring from my career as physical therapist. This experience quickly developed into an artistic focus and second full time profession of creating a variety of functional work. I have been a member of the Boulder Potter’s Guild since 1999 and I now live in Eldorado Springs, Colorado, both of which contribute to inspiring my creative efforts with the functional emphasis. I have developed my techniques, interest and skills and have become a self-taught artist from working other potters in classes and workshops. I continue to work on these skills and techniques by experimenting with new ceramics ideas and designs.
