Wendy Gross uses a combination of wheel throwing, hand building and texturing to create functional pieces, the intention of which is to bring joy to everyday living. She crafts vessels from porcelain and stoneware clays fired at high-fire temperatures. Nature, as well as visual and performing arts of all types, inspire her creation of ceramic art. Her passion for ceramics and art education began as a teen, and has continued ever since. She has studied drawing, design and ceramics at the University of Colorado, the Boulder Pottery Lab, and via workshops at Anderson Ranch, the Boulder Potters' Guild and beyond.
